Kintamani Day Tour

Not far from Ubud is the 11th Gunung Kawi Temple, one of Bali’s most ancient sites.  The complex contains carved stone candis or shrines, tombs of long forgotten kings.   We continue to the Tirta Empul Temple which is located in Tampak Siring village. This holy, spring water temple is without a doubt a must see sight. Climbing a bit higher into brisk  mountain air, we can stop at a plantation growing coffee and various tropical fruits, and even taste famous Coffee Luwak. Moving yet higher we reach Kintamani with stunning views of Mount Batur with ribbons of black lava running down its peak to the valley  to shimmering Lake Batur. Time permitting, a visit can be made to Trunyan village where an original Balinese community still resides and practices distinctly different rituals.
